Huff Leaves With His Thong

Well, we should not be surprised at all but the Giants declined the team option they had to bring Aubrey Huff back next year. He will receive a handsome send off of two million dollars and will be free to sign with any team in about 3 hours. Huff was a big part of the Giants 2010 World Championship and injuries and the development of Brandon Belt have made it easy for the Giants to decide it is time to move on. The 35 year old Huff probably doesn't have the knees to play everyday, even as a DH, but I would look for him to sign somewhere for a bench role. He can probably play part time or as a pinch hitter/occasional DH for another two or three years. Giants fans will never forget the contributions he made to bring the city of San Francisco it's first World Series title.
